Lake Forest was recently ranked No. 6 on Chicago Magazine’s list of the Best Suburbs to Live In. Using 2024 and 2025 school rankings as part of its evaluation, the magazine highlighted Lake Forest High School’s No. 1 ranking among Lake County public high schools in 2024, along with a 98% graduation rate and strong college-going outcomes. The piece also mentioned that in 2025, Sheridan and Everett Elementary Schools were also recognized among the top in the county.
